About Easter
Hello! My name is Easter 다영 Robles (she/her), and I am a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for supporting children, adolescents, and families as they navigate life’s challenging moments.
My approach in therapy
My therapeutic approach combines strength-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed techniques. I take my time to build relationships and trust with my clients to ensure that they feel safe and heard, and we discuss the best treatment plan as a team.
My goals for clients
My goal is to guide clients to explore their emotions and develop effective coping strategies, process their feelings, and empower them to put their skills into practice and build resilience.
For children and teen clients, I ensure that parents and/or guardians are frequently updated and also provide family therapy when needed. I strongly believe that parents/guardians play a crucial role in treatment and a collaboration session can help to monitor the treatment progress and answer any questions or concerns you may have.
My background + personal history with mental health
As a second-generation Korean American, I struggled with my cultural identity during childhood and faced social anxiety and challenges of unprocessed grief and trauma. This has caused me to have a significant impact on my social relationships and academic achievement. With a passion for arts and fashion, I actively enrolled in fashion school, however, due to a sudden life transition, I decided to pursue my studies in criminology in hopes of becoming an attorney to advocate and defend youths involved with the criminal justice system. While pursuing my degrees in criminology and psychology, I interned at a non-profit counseling center providing case management and brief counseling support to youths. My dedication to helping youths deepened and I decided to broaden my scope of practice by pursuing a master's degree in social work to provide talk therapy using creative arts to help youths.
My commitment
Now with over 11 years of combined experience working in the mental health field supporting clients ages 7 to 93 in community mental health, non-profit counseling agencies, school social work, and private practice therapy, I strive to help others on their journeys to healing and self-acceptance.
